The Hollywood Sign is an iconic landmark located on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles, California. Placed in 1923, the sign stands at 50 feet tall and stretches 450 feet across the hillside. It is now nationally recognized as a symbol of the entertainment industry. The sign is fenced off but is still possible to get close enough to take a nice picture. For the best view, drive up to the Griffith Park Observatory or take a hike on the trails around the Hollywood Sign. Due to its size, the sign can be seen from many places in the city and even from aerial views. It is definitely a must-see landmark when visiting Los Angeles.
