
Holland Amerikaplein&Park located in Rotterdam, Netherlands is an ideal place to take a break from the crowds of the city. This peaceful square comprises of a park, a playground and a water basin. You will enjoy a quiet sitting near the park's central fountain, or the brightly coloured trees that surround it. The park is also known for its large sculptures of the United States of America, hence the name ‘Holland Amerikaplein.’ Its history dates back to WWII, when the US troops camped in the area that eventually became the park. Benches and trees were planted in 1949 and regularly maintained since then. This park is a great spot to relax and unwind amid the hustle and bustle of the city.
