Hoeve Lichtenberg is unique farmland situated in the province of Limburg, the Netherlands. It comprises 1,000 hectares of flat pastures, rugged streams and small woods and was part of the estate of Count Erasmus de Bey. The farm is known as the first biobased farm, aiming to be carbon neutral. Hoeve Lichtenberg features many attractions to explore, including the Arab horses at the meadow, a spooky castle, the extraordinary underground bunkers and a romantic pond. There is also a small chapel resting among the pasture which stands as a reminder of the farm’s historical past. Apart from the historical buildings, the farm is also a great destination for wildlife watching, since it supports a rich variety of birds, marsh frogs and other species. Hoeve Lichtenberg provides an exciting experience for all who visit.
