The Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden (Academy of Fine Arts), founded in 1764, is one of the oldest art schools in Germany. Located in the centre of Dresden, it offers its visitors a unique look at the best of German art and architecture. The school has an impressive collection of paintings, sculpture, and other works of art. There are also several galleries, which showcase a variety of works by both 19th century and contemporary artists. On campus, visitors can take in the works of Albrecht Dürer and Feuerbach, among others, while admiring the historic architecture of the buildings.
