The Ho Chi Minh statue in Quận 1, Vietnam is a great spot for travelers and photographers. Situated at the southern end of the Nguyen Hue boulevard, the 9 meters high bronze statue of Ho Chi Minh was only unveiled in 1990. It was the completion of a comprehensive renovation by the French of the city known today as Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). Apart from its obvious historical significance, the statue is also a great place to take a snap of the boulevard and snap a few quintessential shots of the city's skyline. It is a popular spot. Visitors should also take the time to walk around the statue, as there is stunning artwork and plenty of opportunities for great street photography.
