Hiroshima Station
📍 Japan
Hiroshima Station is Hiroshima's central transport hub located in the city center of Hiroshima, Japan. It is the terminal station of the JR West Sanyo Shinkansen line, from Tokyo, as well as local and limited express JR West lines, including the Sanyo and Hiroshima Lines. In addition, the station is also served by the non-JR West lines of the Sanyo Electric Railway, the Hiroden streetcars, and the Hiroshima Bus system.

The station opened in 1870 as "Hiroshima-eki" (Hiroshima Station), with the current brick building dating from 1920. Along with the station and the huge 7-story shopping complex, the surrounding area has many restaurants, department stores, hotels, and the Hiroshima Prefectural Office. The Hiroshima branch of the Diplomatic Records Office of Japan is also located in the station. Hiroshima Station provides easy access to several famous attractions, including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle, and several shrines and temples. Cruise ships regularly dock at the nearby Hiroshima Port, just a few minutes away, and the nearby Hiroshima Airport provides international and domestic flights.
