Hien Waterfall is a beautiful and majestic waterfall located in Hakone, Japan. It is considered an important symbol in Hakone and is located at an elevation of 600 metres. The waterfall is 26 metres tall and was formed roughly 10,000 years ago. It is said that the waterfall was named due to its resemblance to a fruit tree named hien, which grows near the pathway leading to the waterfall. It is an impressive sight to behold and is a popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months when the waterflow is at its peak. There are several hiking trails nearby and other notable attractions such as the Yumenagara Shrine and the Akagane Red Gate. The area also boasts breathtaking views of Mount Fuji which can often be seen on clear days.
