Herrenhaus Blumendorf is an idyllic Renaissance-style manor house set in the charming town of Bad Oldesloe in Germany. The manor, which is a popular attraction, was built in 1586 by one of the area’s most illustrious and influential families, the von Behr-Blumendorf family. The grounds cover 28 hectares and, in addition to the main house, includes formal gardens, a church and several outbuildings. Today, the house and grounds are open to visitors who can wander the beautiful gardens, explore the Baroque-style interiors of the main house, take a stroll through the linden tree park, or visit St. Stephan Church which is open for services every Sunday. Visitors can also enjoy a bite to eat in the tea room that is set in the old summer kitchen.
