Hermosa Beach Pier is a landmark of the small beach town of Hermosa Beach, just south of Los Angeles in California, United States. The pier dates back to 1904 and is a great place to stroll and watch the world go by. The free beach extends a full mile and although it can become quite busy during the summer months, the wide promenade and beautifully coloured buildings on The Strand make it a great place to walk. People of all ages come to the pier to fish, swim and relax. For those interested in the marine wildlife, there are a few tidepools with a variety of different creatures to explore. You can also view the surfing and paddle-boarding classes taking place at the beach in front of the pier. The nearby restaurant, Sharkeez offers delicious food and drinks in a vibrant setting.
