Helsinki Cathedral is located in Helsinki city centre in the heart of Finland. It was originally built in 1852 and has been the most recognisable symbol of the city since then. It is a prime example of Neoclassical architecture and its white facade is surrounded by a vast garden that is well-maintained and lovely to take a walk in. It stands tall at a remarkable 91 meters and is a popular landmark for tourists to visit. Although the interior remains closed to the public, the exterior is completely free to explore. Get ready to be awed by the tall bell tower, the two domed towers, and the numerous statues that are built into the structure. With so much to admire plus the spectacular view across the city, it is easy to see why this is one of Helsinki’s finest attractions.
