Heceta Head Lighthouse is a stunning, 55-foot tall, white-and-black striped lighthouse standing atop a grassy bluff in Florence, United States. The lighthouse has a fantastic panoramic view of the beach and offshore rocks. It was built in 1894 and is still in operation today. Visitors can explore the area around the lighthouse, as well as a nearby museum and the original assistant keeper’s house, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You can also purchase tickets to go inside for a guided tour of the lighthouse tower and its original Fresnel lens. Heceta Head Lighthouse is located alongside a stretch of scenic coastal highway between Florence and Yachats, making it an awesome spot for a scenic drive.
