Hearst Castle is a renowned landmark located in the historic town of San Simeon, California. Built between 1919 and 1947 by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst and architect Julia Morgan, it covers a stunning 250,000 acres and includes two main buildings – the main house and the guest house. The main house is a stunning 65,000 square foot estate filled with antiques and collectibles from all over the world. The guest house, Casa del Mar, is a Mediterranean-style villa with 12 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and breathtaking views of the ocean. Also on the property are the Casa Grande, the Roman Pool, Neptune pool, movie theater, and many more spectacular gardens and buildings. Tour guides take visitors through the grounds, featuring a wealth of interesting Hearst family anecdotes. There is also a special collection of antique automobiles kept on the grounds. Hearst Castle is a must-see destination for anyone visiting the central California coast.
