Hazrat Sultan Mosque is the largest mosque in Kazakhstan, and one of the biggest in Central Asia. It is located on the left bank of the Ishim River in the Kazakh capital, Astana. The mosque is popularly known as the "White Mosque" due to its tall, snow-white walls. The mosque was designed by architect Mubariz Taghiyev, who was inspired by the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Built using the finest materials, it has 26 semi-domed minarets and a large marble façade.
