It has 24 platforms and over 1800 daily departures, making it a hub of activity and bustling with life. It stands proud on the banks of the River Spree. The b-Bahn station features a stunning glass and steel atrium stretching upward for six stories, letting in copious amounts of bright natural sunlight. Also, it’s surrounded by a number of parks and cultural attractions including the Berlin Cathedral, the German Historical Museum, and the Gendarmenmarkt. Aside from its function as a station, Hauptbahnhof is also a great place to take a stroll or do some people watching. Here, one can witness families milling around, locals commuting, and music emanating from the buskers entertaining passengers. All in all, it’s a great place to come and explore!
