📍 From Folkestone Harbour Station, United Kingdom
The Harbour Station, a Grade II listed building in Kent, UK, is a landmark railway station on Ramsgate’s shoreline. It was opened in 1846 for use by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway, and still stands today as a reminder of the area's long railway history. Over the years the station has seen the passing of famous visitors, including Queen Victoria, and a number of steam locomotives. Its classic facade has served as the backdrop for several feature films. Inside, there is a museum exhibiting various artifacts and photographic displays about the station’s history. There are also two gift shops and a cafe. The station grounds provide access to a picturesque harbor, fishing boats, and stretches of coastline. Visitors can also take a stroll down the Royal Pavilion Promenade or take a boat ride around the harbor.
