The Sydney Harbour Bridge, also known as 'The Coat Hanger' is a prominent landmark on the Sydney skyline. Opened in 1932, it's one of Australia's most famous bridges, and carries eight lane roadways, two railway lines and a pedestrian walkway between the North Sydney and the city of Sydney. At 134m wide and with a total span of 503m, this steel arch bridge is the widest, longest and tallest steel arch bridge in the world. The two pylons that dominate the bridge are each 50m high. Visitors can climb the bridge, book a tour or take in the spectacular views on the Circular Quay ferry. It’s also popular with cyclists and joggers to take in the incredible vista. With the Sydney skyline in the background and seagulls flying overhead, it's a must-see spot.
