📍 From Copes Lookout, Australia
The Harbour Bridge in Milsons Point, Australia, is an iconic symbol for Sydney, New South Wales. It’s an arch-based steel truss bridge across Sydney Harbour that links the North Shore with the central business district. The bridge was completed in 1932, and is the world’s widest long-span bridge and the eighth-longest spanning-arch bridge. It stands 49 meters above the water and its length is 500 meters. It is an impressive sight, especially when lit up at night. From any angle, travelers and photographers can capture this engineering marvel in all its glory. On the western side of the bridge, there is a Pylon Lookout which provides stunning views of Sydney’s skyline, the Opera House and the harbour. Climbing to the top of the bridge is also an option, with a walkway providing visitors with a great vantage point to absorb the magnitude of the bridge. There are a number of great vantage points from which to view the bridge, from the water to the beach front, and this bridge is a must-see for any trip to Sydney.
