Hanstholm Bunkermuseum and Hanstholm Fortress are both located in Hanstholm, Denmark. The fortress was built in 1939 and served as an artillery base for the navy. The museum is home to a large collection of military artifacts from WWII, such as cannonball fragments, photos and military uniforms. The museum also has a collection of video presentations about the Second World War, showing how Germany occupied Denmark and the defense of Hanstholm by Danish forces. The fortress has a stunning view of the North Sea and a great display of trenches, bunkers and other defensive structures. The fortress is open all year round and has guided tours available. The museum is open from June-September, with guided tours available as well. Both locations are great for travelers and photographer alike.
