Halifax Town Hall is a Grade II listed building located in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Designed in 1885-86 by architect Charles Henry Driver, it was built to celebrate the borough's recent attainment of municipal independence. Today, the Town Hall is open for weddings, local functions, and tours, and serves as a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike. The central area of the building is notable for its grand arched doorway and large, ornate clock tower. Other highlights of the World Heritage building include the stained glass windows, detailed carvings, mosaic floor, ornately decorated staircase, and artworks from local artists. The building also houses several War Remembrance features, such as the Great War Memorial, tapestries, and a number of stained glass windows. Visitors will also enjoy admiring the building's traditional architecture and grand exterior.
