Hafen Timmendorf (Strand) sits on the northwest shore of Insel Poel and is the island’s principal small craft harbour and seaside focal point. Unique local points: ferries and excursion boats operate from the harbour seasonally, small coastal trawlers still land fresh fish, and regular community events — summer harbour festivals and occasional maritime markets — use the quay as their stage, giving Hafen Timmendorf a blend of working-coast authenticity and beach-resort atmosphere.
