Hacienda Uayamón is a 17th-century plantation situated on the Yucatán Peninsula, about 60 km west of the city of Mérida. The hacienda, once owned by the Spanish Counts of Miraflores, is now a luxury boutique hotel. It is surrounded by lush foliage and a sweeping landscape of cenotes, lagoons, and Mexican grandeur. The main house consists of several stucco-walled buildings and courtyards adorned with flowers, plants, and trees. Not only is it a great place to stay, the hacienda also provides guided tours of the grounds, highlighting the indigenous history and culture of the area. It also contains impressive collections of art and furniture, library, chapel, and other artifacts that tell a vivid story of the area’s deep history.
