Gustavianum is a museum located right next to the main square of Fjärdingen, Sweden, and constitutes the main building of Uppsala University. The museum is usually open to visitors from Monday to Saturday, with an admission fee of just one euro.

The Gustavianum museum is made up of four different parts which showcase University's history. The four departments include the Academicum, the Museum of Antiquities, the Museum of Ethnography and the Museum of Nordic Antiquities. Each room provides visitors with a wide range of objects and multidisciplinary temporary exhibitions containing several topics such as photography, history and art. Exploring the museums and galleries is a great and educational way to learn about the university and the city. People who love photography will find a great variety of wonders to shoot and record. Most of the objects and artwork inside the museum can be photographed, unless they are part of the university historical collection or a temporary exhibition. Gustavianum museum also contains a magnificent central stairway which is a very popular subject for photography. The stairway is decorated with more than 200 paintings of different sizes, making it a unique environment to shoot.
