Gustav Adolf Stave Church is one of the oldest stave churches in Germany, located in Goslar. Built around 1220, this beautiful church has a Gothic facade, visible from a distance. The exterior of the building is covered with rustic wood, while the inside of the church shows the classic stave style, featuring dark wood pillars and ceiling, and attractive stained glass-windows. Gustav Adolf Stave Church's highlights include the altar, frescoes and a beautiful Gothic rood screen. This church is also home to an organ, which dates back to 1876 and is still in use today. Visitors are able to take a tour of the church, while discovering its history and architecture. The church is a great example of Gothic architecture and is a perfect place to explore and admire. Gustav Adolf Stave Church is not open to the public on Sundays.
