Gurnet Light is an historic lighthouse located on the Gurnet Peninsula in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Built in 1854, the light was originally used to guide ships and fishermen from Plymouth to Boston. Today, it stands as a venerated reminder of the city's maritime history. Located at the mouth of the Plymouth Harbor and accessible via a nature trail, the light is a popular spot for sightseeing and photography. The lighthouse offers stunning views of Plymouth Harbor, Cape Cod Bay and Martha’s Vineyard in the summer. There are also a number of nearby locations for beachgoers, such as Saquish Beach and Gurnet Beach. Visitors may also enjoy leisurely strolls around the nearby jetties, discovering sea glass and fishing off the pier.
