📍 From Inside, Ireland
The Guinness Storehouse occupies a former fermentation building at St James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin’s Liberties, the historic district within Dublin 8. Arthur Guinness established his brewery here in 1759, and the site remains closely tied to the city’s industrial identity. The building’s brick exterior and steel-framed interior preserve the scale and character of a working brewery, while seven floors of visitor displays surround a glass atrium shaped like a giant pint. Exhibits connect stout production with coopering, transport and Guinness advertising, placing the drink within a broader story of Irish work and popular culture. At the top, the circular, glass-walled Gravity Bar opens the scene out to Dublin’s rooftops and distant mountains—a striking contrast to the enclosed industrial spaces below.
