Grossmünster is a Protestant church in the Old Town area of Zürich, Switzerland. It is one of the four main churches of the Swiss capital, and one of the most important churches in the country. The building was constructed in the 12th century and its Romanesque architecture has survived several restorations and renovations intact. The building has two towers, each with a height of over 75 meters, making it an impressive structure in the Zürich skyline. Inside the church, visitors can admire the beautiful murals, Gothic altarpieces, and Baroque sculptures. There is also an archaeological section, which shows parts of the original foundations of the building. You can also marvel at the stained-glass windows, which depict biblical scenes in vibrant colors. The Grossmünster is open for visitors throughout the year and its square offers stunning views over the city and beyond.
