Great Haseley Windmill is the most prominent feature of this picturesque village. Located in Oxfordshire, England, the windmill has a very distinctive shape, with each of its four sections jutting out in right angles to form a four-sided tower. The towers date back to the 17th century, when they were built as a grain mill. Today, the Grade II listed mill still serves as a reminder of the area's history and offers visitors a glimpse into the past. In addition to the windmill, Great Haseley also offers visitors a number of other attractions. The village is home to a 16th century public hall, a thatched pub, a church and an 18th-century almshouse, as well as a number of other historic buildings. Even if you don’t’ venture inside them, it’s worth visiting Great Haseley solely to gaze upon its historic structures. The village is also home to an array of wildlife, making it a great place for nature lovers.
