The Great Amphitheater and Zaryadye Park in Moskva, Russia, offer a mix of excitement and entertainment. Visitors enjoy riverside walks, promenades, pavilions, a touch of history, and an amazing view of the Kremlin from the heights of the park.
A highlight of the park is the Great Amphitheater which stands on a high platform overlooking the Moskva River. In the summer, the Amphitheater hosts classical music concerts, dance performances, international and Russian operas, and family shows. With its high banks of greenery, the park offers some spectacular views of the city. From the floor of the Amphitheater visitors can take in the beauty of the Moskva, stretching far into the horizon. The park grounds are also home to Saint Frol's Church, the oldest Orthodox Church in Moskva to still be in operation. The window from which St. Frol witnessed his torture and execution in the Kremlin is reenacted inside the church. In between these attractions, visitors can admire the vast “Wild Field” which was planted over 9 thousand square meters of a city block. This area is a pleasant place to rest and watch swallows wheeling in the sky. Finally, all can take a ride on the floating bridge which stretches between the park and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour or, even better, take the pedestrian foot bridge for a Panther-eye view of the Galeretnaya bridge.
