The Gratwanderweg Stoos follows the exposed ridge between Klingenstock and Fronalpstock above the car-free mountain village of Stoos in the municipality of Morschach. From the narrow crest, the terrain drops steeply toward Lake Lucerne, revealing its branching shoreline, the Uri Alps and layers of Central Swiss peaks. The route is especially recognizable for its undulating ridge line, grassy slopes and repeated shifts between lake and mountain panoramas. Chairlifts serve both summits from Stoos, but the high trail itself requires sure-footedness and a head for heights; snow, fog and lift operations can restrict access outside suitable mountain conditions.
