Grande Arche de la Defense

The Grande Arche de la Defense is a grand, modern day structure located in Puteaux, France. It was completed in 1989 and stands as a symbol of fraternal bonds and democratic values. The structure is built in a cube shape, measuring 108 meters tall with a base of 110 meters squared. Designed by Danish architect Otto von Spreckelsen, the building and its grounds provide a striking visual contrast to the city’s square and uniform architectural style, effectively blending modern design with the centuries old historic foundations of Paris. The site also houses an auditorium, conference centre, and a few museums. The structure is open to the public, allowing visitors a stunning view of the Paris cityscape and the surrounding area.
