Grand Teton national park lies at the border of Wyoming and Idaho and is part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. The centerpiece of the park is the Teton Range, a full 40 miles of massive rocky peaks rising straight from the valley. Along with its scenic beauty, the park is home to abundant wildlife, including bears, moose, elk, and more. The highlight of Grand Teton National Park is a visit to Jackson Lake Dam, a large and expensive engineering marvel that holds back the tidal forces of nearby Jackson Lake. The access area to the dam offers stunning scenery, particularly when the sun lowers in the evening and sets the surrounding mountains aglow. You can also take a break in the meadows below the dam and search for wildlife. Don't forget - bring your binoculars and a camera!
