📍 France
The Grand Rex is a grand movie theater in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. It was designed in an Art Deco style reminiscent of the grandeur of the 1920s and 30s. Designed by architect Jacques Haour and completed in 1932, it has a seating capacity of 2,800 and is considered the largest cinema auditorium in Europe. Today, it is known for screening art-house and international films, hosting premiers and special events, and for concerts and operas featuring some of the world’s best artists. It also contains an exhibition hall, a multi-storey car park, and a large central courtyard.
