Grand Cascade and Bridge in Park is a famous landmark in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Cascade is located between the upper and lower park ponds, and consists of 64 steps and 21 fountains. The bridge over the cascade was built in 1720, designed by Domenico Trezzini. The main feature of the park are two large statuaries, depicting (A) Samson tearing open a lion’s mouth and (B) a group of allegorical figures. The park also features beautifully shaped trees, lush vegetation, and romantic gazebos. This picturesque scenery provides a wonderful backdrop for many memorable pictures!
