📍 United States
Grace Cathedral is a powerful symbol of faith in the heart of San Francisco’s Nob Hill district. Built in the 1910s, the cathedral features breathtaking architecture, epitomized by its two spires that rise high into the sky. Inside the grand Neo-Gothic cathedral are stained glass windows, stone reliefs and carvings around its altar. One of the highlights of the cathedral’s interior is the International Peace Plaza, which features more than 2,000 pieces of Venetian glass mosaics. Visitors wishing to get an overview of the city can climb up one of the building’s towers for sweeping views. The tower’s observation deck has a compass rose made with 150,000 pieces of marble and is lit with LED lights, representing the stars in the night sky.
