📍 Australia
The Gorge Walk, commonly known as the North Gorge Walk, follows the rocky headland at Point Lookout on the northeastern tip of North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), Queensland. Set on Quandamooka Country, it reveals a rugged coastal landscape that contrasts with the island’s long sandy beaches. Boardwalks and stepped paths pass through coastal heath above narrow inlets, where Pacific swells surge against the cliffs. The gorge’s steep walls and white water create a strong contrast with the open ocean, while bends in the trail reveal changing views of the headland. The elevated lookouts also offer opportunities to see dolphins and sea turtles below, with migrating humpback whales offshore during winter and spring.
