📍 Austria
Gollinger Mühle is a traditional watermill in the Torren area of Golling an der Salzach, close to the footpath leading toward the Golling Waterfall. Set beside the fast-flowing Schwarzbach, the timber building reflects the long local use of mountain streams for mechanical power. Its weathered wooden walls, steep roof and waterside setting form a distinctive contrast with the pale, churning current and dense green vegetation. The most recognizable compositions place the mill against the stream, where moving water, mossy stones and dark timber convey the damp atmosphere of the Salzach valley.
