Golfbak is a scenic nature preserve located in Marknesse, the Netherlands. The area has a special rich vegetation and many forests, meadows and other green areas. While wandering through this nature paradise, visitors can admire a variety of mammals, amphibians, fish, insects and birds. For birdwatchers, the area is particularly interesting, with many migrating species passing through the reserve. The Golfbak is also an ideal destination for hikes and cycling with marked routes to discover the wealth of nature. Golfbak also has a windmill and a small chapel, both interesting structures that contrast with the nature surrounding them. Visitors can also take in the many trails or enjoy a picnic in one of the many shaded areas. The reserve also offers a few tables situated near the lakes, from where visitors can admire the still waters and further admire the beautiful nature as a whole.
