Glenfinnan Viaduct is a spectacular railway viaduct located in the Highland Council in Scotland, United Kingdom. Built in 1897, the curved brick structure stretches an impressive 437 meters, running up to 30 meters high, and is a favorite location for locomotive enthusiast and photographers alike. The Glenfinnan Viaduct is easily accessed as it forms part of the West Highland Line from Fort William to Mallaig. It is often used as a movie backdrop, being featured famously in the Harry Potter films. It is also the site of the annual Jacobite Steam Train. Visitors can take a train ride up the line and enjoy the majestic views of the Scottish Highlands.
