Glazen Saxophone
📍 Belgium
The Glazen Saxophone (or 'Glass Saxophone') is a special attraction in Dinant, Belgium, located along the banks of the Meuse river. An exact replica of the musical instrument stands atop a 12-meter (39.3-ft) tall tower at the entrance to the city's citadel, and it has become a popular symbol of Dinant. The tower was built in honor of locally-born Adolphe Sax, an instrument maker and designer who invented the saxophone in the 1840s. The Monument is lit up at night in a variety of colors, offering a great photo opportunity. Visitors can take an elevator up the tower to admire the sculptures and stunning views of the old town, river and the citadel.
