Glass Pyramid "HIDAMARI" and Moerenuma Park are must-visit spots in Sapporo, Japan. The Glass Pyramid, built in 2006, was designed by famous Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi and stands 37m tall. Located inside a forest area, it’s a perfect spot to take pictures of the lush, green surroundings. The Pyramid has four open glass walls that makes a giant sun-dial, reflecting sunlight and moonlight all day! Moerenuma Park is an urban park designed by Noguchi and is Japan's largest city park. The official name of the park is Moere Numa Higashi Koen which means 'east garden of Moere Marsh'. The site is marked by an iconic Land Tower and is home to many other attractions, such as the Water Margins 'water drop landscape', a gorgeous lake surrounded by dozens of glass sculptures, an artificial beach, and one of the few skate parks in Japan designed by Noguchi himself. In addition, there is also a forested area and a cycle path. Both these spots are must-visit when in Sapporo!
