Narsarsuaq, located in the southern tip of Greenland, is host to the Glacier of Narsarsuaq. The glacier is almost two kilometers long, traversing a spectacular terrain of snow-capped mountains. There are several possibilities for taking a scenic walk around the glacier, which range from a simple mild stroll to a day-long trek that follows the course of the glacier. Visitors will be treated to views of the fjord, icebergs floating in the Nordic Sea and spectacular icebergs lining the shore. There are a number of boat tours available, which offer a unique way to explore the area and its rugged beauty. There are also a number of villages nearby, providing a great way to explore more of Greenland's culture and history. Narsarsuaq itself is a small town, with an airport, a few hotels and camping facilities available.
