The Glaciar Perito Moreno is one of the most impressive glaciers in Argentina and a must-see for any traveler. Located in the National Park of Los Glaciares, it is the only glacier in the world that is still advancing and the third largest reserve of fresh water in the world. The surrounding landscape is spectacular and the blue color of the ice is truly breathtaking. Some of the best views of the glacier can be seen from Los Cuernos where a lengthy catwalk provides a close access to the glacier. Take care when exploring the area, as parts of the glacier can sometimes break off and be hazardous. There are several tour operators offering boat trips around the glacier, which are a great way to enjoy the scenery. In order to get the best views, it's worth doing a longer one, however plan well in advance as they can be very popular.
