The Glaciar del Lago Argentino is an awe-inspiring glacier in Patagonia, Argentina. It is the largest of the 48 glaciers that feed the Argentino Lake. Visitors can take the El Calafate boat tour which takes them up the lake past the Upsala Glacier, Brazo Rico and further up to the imposing walls of the west face of the Perito Moreno Glacier. The boat tour is available every day and also includes lunch. After disembarking, visitors can explore the network of trails along the glacier’s edge, leading to the lookout point of “The Balcony”. The trail is level and easy to follow and allows visitors to get close enough to feel the force of the glacier and the chilled air of its ice walls.
