Gerlachschmiede und Turm am Rödertor is a popular tourist destination in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. The Gerlachsmithy and Tower at Rödertor dates back to 1445 and is the last example of a smithy known as 'Gerlachsmithy'. The area was "renovated" in the 18th century and today, visitors can explore the interior of the smithy. In addition to the smithy, the tower provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. The tower was also used as a watchtower and as a look-out post. In the gardens gracing the turrets are two ancient stone sculptures. There is also a museum commemorating the old-fashioned craftsmanship of the past.
