📍 Canada
George Lake lies at the main access area of Killarney Provincial Park, east of the village of Killarney in Ontario. Its clear blue water is framed by pale La Cloche quartzite ridges, pink granite shorelines and wind-shaped pines, a Canadian Shield landscape closely associated with the work of the Group of Seven. The lake is especially recognizable when calm water reflects the bright rock and forest, while canoes add scale to the broad view. George Lake Campground and nearby trails make this one of the park’s most accessible introductions to terrain that becomes far more remote beyond the shoreline.
