📍 From Inside, Italy
Genova Brignole is a train station located in the city centre of Genova, Italy. It is the terminating station for five of the six main line railway networks connecting the city, the other being Genova Piazza Principe which is slightly more to the east. With its one passenger concourse, two bus terminal and two parking lots, Genova Brignole is an important transport hub in the city. Its building is also a wonderful example of Beaux-Arts architecture. It was designed by Italian architect Riccardo Mariani in 1883, and is composed of a transverse hall with a central dome and two symmetrical staircases leading up to other levels. With its stunning marble-clad walls and high ceilings, the station itself makes a beautiful photo. The station also has a good selection of dining and shopping options, so it’s worth a visit even if you don’t have to catch a train.
