๐ United States
Gas Works Park is a stunning public park located in the heart of Seattle, United States. On its grounds lie the remnants of the old Seattle Gas Light Company plant, which mostly operated between 1906 and 1956. In 1975, it was purchased by the City of Seattle and converted into a park. Visitors can explore the industrial structures, including the gas holder tanks, sparking house, powerhouse, storage tanks, gas holder foundations, engine houses, and the Hexacrane. Visitors can also rent kayaks and explore Lake Union or just relax on its 22 acres of lush green lawn and gardens. Photographers will find plenty of great subjects here, from sweeping views of Lake Union to vibrant sunset vistas. Don't forget to bring your waterproof camera and explore the shoreline's vibrant life!
