Gallery Terme is the covered spa gallery at the heart of Santa Cesarea Terme, the small thermal town on Puglia’s southeastern coast known for its baths. It belongs to the town’s ensemble of late‑19th/early‑20th‑century spa architecture, where Liberty (Italian Art Nouveau) and Moorish‑influenced villas cluster on limestone cliffs above the Ionian Sea. Visually, the gallery pairs ornamental details—ceramic tiles, wrought iron and decorative arches—with the pale, fossil‑rich local stone and weathered sea salt that stains facades, producing a tactile contrast between smooth ceramic and rough rock. Photographers will find strong compositions in the gallery’s repeating arches and railings, shafts of light through glazed roofs or openings, and the way terraces and staircases frame glimpses of cobalt sea; portions of the complex belong to functioning thermal facilities, so observe posted access restrictions and respect private areas.
