📍 Russia
Cifergauz is a digital art gallery inside House 12 on New Holland Island, a former naval-industrial complex in central Saint Petersburg. Its contemporary exhibition spaces contrast with the island’s restored red-brick architecture, linking experimental media art to one of the city’s most distinctive examples of adaptive reuse. Programs focus on digital, audiovisual, interactive and generative works, so the visual character changes with each exhibition: projections, luminous screens, reflections and immersive installations often replace the fixed objects of a traditional gallery. The restrained industrial exterior and shifting electronic light inside create two markedly different photographic settings.
