📍 Norway
The fyrlykt in Drøbaksundet is a small navigation light marking the narrow passage of the inner Oslofjord beside Drøbak in Frogn Municipality. Unlike a large staffed lighthouse, this compact beacon is part of the working maritime landscape, guiding vessels through a channel long important to traffic approaching Oslo. The sound is also defined by nearby Oscarsborg Fortress, whose position reflects the passage’s strategic significance. In photographs, the isolated light provides a strong focal point against layered wooded shores, open water, ferries and passing ships; calm conditions can add clear reflections, while mist and low winter light emphasize its functional silhouette.
